Original Poem by Jennalee Martin

she runs along driftwood

wings grow, resting atop her

shoulders, covering her like a blanket

as she lands on bare feet.

she is a songbird lost at sea.

singing when wanting to sigh,

fighting when wanting to fall,

summoned by the tides.
